Pet care experience
I grew up caring for a variety of animals and have worked as a sitter, walker, and caretaker for a several dogs and cats. I have often fostered dogs and cats who were fearful, and I have turned them into trusting, loving animals. I've housesat and taken care of dogs who had separation anxiety during a client's vacations and the dogs were happy and eating well all week. So much better than in a kennel.

We have two older dogs, 2 cats, and a fenced in yard. We live in a quiet neighborhood with lots of places to walk and hike. Our house is calm and peaceful. Our animals all get along and kind of keep to themselves. We have a cozy, finished basement, a sunroom, and other rooms for your pet to curl up by a window or in a cozy spot. I am extremely consistent with feeding and walking times so as not to disrupt the comfort of your pet while they miss you. My husband is very gentle with all pets, too, and dogs who are supposed to be afraid of males, just love him!

Please let me know if your dog has any special needs or preferences, or if you have any preferences-- such as staying off furniture and beds, etc. Please give me feeding times and amounts. Any medication times and amounts. Any behaviors such as getting into trash.
A typical day
I love to see dogs having fun-- be it playing fetch, tug, running around the yard, or playing with my dogs. I live by several hiking trails, so if your dog likes to hike, that's one of my favorite things to do. If your dog just wants a peaceful walk, I know all the quietest streets around town. In fact, I've walked every street in Berlin as a challenge! I also love to reinforce training.

I am work remotely for most of the week, and am very active before work, during my lunch breaks, and after. I have the time to care for your dog-- grooming, playing, walking, hiking, running (if wanted).
