Hi there! Are you looking for someone to take care of your dog and house while you are out of town? Or come and take your dog on adventurous walks, or provide daily check-ins? Great! Me and my wife are young professionals living in Brooklyn, both animal and dog-crazy. We have worked with many dog-owners and families throughout the city, and have taken care of their pets for either a few days, or sometimes for as long as several weeks. The benefit of having a couple take care of your house and pet is that we both have different (day and evening) schedules. This means that we will be able to walk your dog as often as desired, and there will be someone at home almost at all times; approximately 20 hours a day, 24/7 in the weekend/holidays. Ama is a Dutch expat who goes to acting school in the evening and is a writer and published poet by day. Linda is an architect and works at an architectural office in the city and is free during the evening. Both absolutely animal crazy, there is honestly not much in this world we enjoy more than taking a nice long walk with a dog in the park. DOGSITTING In case of dog sitting at your house, we promise to: - treat your house with respect and care, making sure you will find your home in the exact state you left it. We are pretty clean, so you can be assured that there will be no extra dirt of dust upon your return. We do appreciate staying at homes that are well taken care of. In return, we will take care of your home as we take care of our own, taking out trash, vacuuming when needed, etc. If you have plants, we will water those too! - Other animals? Welcome as well! We are open to all sorts of different pets and have both had cats before, too. Ama has also experience in taking care of rabbits, hamsters, fish and turtles. - Provide you with as many pictures of your pet as you want, so you can stay updated and informed (and entertained!). - Keep your dog company full-time, take them out for long walks, take short runs/jogs for those with energetic dogs, play with your dog and follow up any other instructions specific to your house and pet. We both keep an active lifestyle and love to go out on a day-trip to a beautiful park on weekends. And as experienced pet-owners and caretakers, we say: no matter how detailed, we are up for the task! DOGWALKING Walks will be adjusted to whatever your dog needs. I love to go to nearby parks, and really go on a little adventure every time I take your dog out. I love walking and love to wander around and explore the neighbourhood with a good companion! I'm physically fit and also enjoy doing small sprints with those dogs who are up for it, and get a little workout in myself. Preferably, I take only one or two dogs per walk so your pets can get all the personal attention they need!
