I am a certified trainer through Animal Behavior College and currently working on my Master Trainer Certification through Catch Canine Trainers Academy. I utilize LIMA based methods for care and training - this is the Least Intrusive Minimally Aversive method adopted by the International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants. I currently have private training clients and I my past experience includes a training internship at Petco, so I have experience creating behavior modification plans. I live in a multi-species household with dogs and cats. When I was young, I helped care for domestic and farm animals, including horses. Most recently, I have cared for cats, dogs, birds, tortoises, and hermit crabs. I love all animals and have rescued most of my pets; I also have assisted others in rescuing or adopting their animals. I can care for animals with various medical needs; I have administered insulin to a diabetic cat and antibiotics to tortoises. Although some might assume the cat was the most difficult patient, the tortoises were more work - especially as there were 11 at a time. I am open to assisting you with the needs of you and your pet. I can walk, train or simply feed your pet. One of my dogs is 67 lbs. so big or little, it does not matter. I can review basic training with you and your dog and assist in developing solutions to any challenges you may be experiencing. The favorite part of my job is working with happy and content pets and their people. Owning a pet can be work and my goal is to reduce the stress, so you have the ability to spend quality time with a well-behaved pet.
