My family has had dogs since I was born, and then I continued the trend after I left home. I currently have a 5 year old, 22 lb love bug at home. I have a lot of respect for dogs, who they are, how they behave, how much love they need and how to treat them with kindness while also being firm and fair. I am particularly good at training puppies, and praising their good job and being patient while they learn. I don't believe striking or otherwise punishing a dog is necessary. My dog learned everything with a hug and a kiss and is very loyal and well-behaved. I try to strike a balance between fun, healthy and rigorous exercise, so they stay lean and happy. If I house/dog/cat-sit for you overnight, I would want to bring along my service dog, Sanders, who gets along with everything and is gentle and kind.
