Total nightmare! The sitter was friendly during the mandatory meet and greet and we discussed the time I would drop off and pick up my dog. Well after I dropped off my dog and left, she contacted me and ask what time was I picking up my dog. I was totally confused because we had already agreed I was picking up my dog the next night. She then said I would need to give her EXTRA CASH when I come to pick up my dog. That’s when I got suspicious because all transactions are done through rover.com so why should I bring any cash??? I immediately arranged for a family member to go pick up my dog since I was out of town and wasn’t scheduled to be back until the next day which we both had previously agreed to when I originally dropped off my dog. I have used rover.com over 20 times and have NEVER had someone ask me for extra cash when I come pick up my dog. I don’t think rover.com would appreciate it if they knew this type of “side business “ was taking place. In fact I remember when I dropped my dog off she advised me she made over $3k on rover.com last year but only claimed $600. I guess she found a few willing participants to pay her cash on the side. If this would have been my first experience using the app I would never use it again, thankfully I know there are a lot of decent sitters on here. Never again with this one, STEER CLEAR!!
