Trusted and caring dog trainer

Pet care experience

I worked in a pet store as a grooming assistant for 5 years. As a grooming assistant I gained experience washing, drying, brushing, grinding nails, cleaning ears, as well as trimming fur. While working at the pet store I also gained experience in the small animal, reptile and bird department. I have experience handling all types of animals. When I graduated college I moved to Maine and bought a small farm. On my farm I raised cows, pigs, goats, ducks, chickens, and rabbits. When I lived in Maine I gained veterinary experience by working at a fast-paced veterinary clinic. I also worked in an animal shelter, caring for cats. While at the animal shelter I had the responsibility of feeding, cleaning, and medicating the cats. I have my own dogs who I have trained myself, in advanced obedience and tracking, as well as SAR work. My experience training them propelled my training interests and I pursued training as a career. I have trained and handled numerous sizes, ages, breeds and temperaments of dogs. I am also earning my masters degree in behavior. I have much experience pet sitting and dog walking as well. I have excellent references and reviews that can be provided upon request.
