Pet care experience
I grew up in a household that fostered many animals! Starting at age 12, I started training bloodhounds with my mother for Search & Rescue. Over the years, I've served as the default dog sitter and trainer in my social circle. With tons of patience and research I also rehabilitated our two rescue dogs, who were human/dog aggressive when my husband adopted them. I have nursed our dog Molly back to health after numerous surgeries and I have extensive experience with geriatric dogs and cats.
Reviews
Lily was great with our babies. We have one that is very anxious. Lily took her time with him and read his cues to try and make him comfortable while we were away. I'm sure it will get easier as they see each other more often. Lily kept in touch and sent pictures/videos which are always great.
Lily was great! It was clear from our meet up that she knows how to take care of dogs -- I immediately felt comfortable leaving mine with her! She was great about sending photos and updates throughout the stay. She is at the top of my list for any pup sitting needs in Milwaukee!
Lily takes great care of Kai and leaves the house looking like I left it. Grateful for her wonderful work
Lily and Kai have become famous friends and she’s done a terrific job communicating. I’m very grateful

We can't currently host animals at our house, but I'm happy to follow all guidelines you may have, strictly and with zero judgement. I'm happy to crate, keep dogs off furniture, or let them be laps dogs. The important thing is consistency, so I will follow your lead 100% unless you ask for my advice!
Information Lily S. would like to know about your pet
Please disclose any and all behavioral concerns with me. This goes for your dogs and dogs in your neighborhood you regularly encounter. I promise reactive dogs won't scare me away, but I need to know their history in order to keep them out of harm's way. I always avoid other dogs/cross the street, and monitor for loading behavior, but any extra insight will only help me keep your whole family safe! That's my first priority.
A typical day
I love to incorporate a variety of enrichment and stimulation into our day. They're are tons of ways to tire out dogs even on rainy, bluster days. I'm great at improvising and creating puzzles using dog-safe tools, like creating snuffle mats from blankets and towels or playing good old fashioned hide and seek. I enjoying teaching/practicing new tricks and going for long walks in the park when the weather permits- it's good exercise for brains and bodies! I also like to load up and freeze healthy lick mats with pumpkin and low fat yogurt for sensory soothing at the end of the day.

I'm pursuing my college degree late in life, and fully online. Other than a few random appointments here and there, I have full-time flexibility in my schedule. As long as you have wifi, I can do my work!
