Experienced Trainer & Sitter!

Pet care experience

Thanks for checking out my profile! Please read fully for important info 👀 I started my canine journey many years ago as a foster home for North Star Labrador Rescue. Back then, it wasn’t uncommon to find an entire litter of little puppies in my kitchen- whether they were labs or not, we took them! I wanted to give them the best start in life, so I learned how to get them on the road to being the best pets they could be for their new families. This sparked my interest in training! I started on Rover part time years ago, not knowing it would eventually turn into full-time (or more!!). Large or small, puppy or senior, I love and welcome them all. That’s when I decided to add training to my menu of skills so that any who needed extra help or whose owners wanted to reinforce good habits can feel that they are leaving their precious pup in the right hands. 🏡 Meet & Greet: The whole family plus pup(s) are welcome! Due to the frequency of visitors and boarders, for the safety of my kids and any pets already here, meet and greet is usually limited to outside the home- but there are lots of photos of the inside on my profile! And you may step in of course during pick up and drop off. Typical length should be about 20 minutes during which your dog may enjoy my backyard off leash! (Meet and greets for drop-ins or housesitting will take place at the pet owner’s home and may take longer.) Typical boarding: text updates and photo both morning and evening. Pickup and drop off times are typically limited from 6AM to 11PM unless otherwise agreed for emergency reasons. I typically do not offer boarding longer than 4-5 nights max, most of those requests will be denied as our family schedule is busy and I refuse to excessively kennel- I am present in the home and prioritize time for dogs who I’m watching!! Typical daycare: I submit the “card” at the end of the stay with all pics & info, so often I don’t text many updates for daycare unless a question arises! If you’d like more feel free to reach out. I truly don't want you feeling anxious and will respond ASAP. 🐶📲 🚨📝 As of 1/11/23, new daycare clients please note, daycare over 9 hours per day will carry a $10 per hour surcharge for each subsequent hour past the 9 hours. Please feel free to message me to discuss any concerns about this I believe in Positive Reinforcement and clicker training. I proudly hold a certification from Karen Pryor Academy. Absolutely no negative reinforcement. Love to spend time outside playing. I have two girls, age 13 and 18, who are dog literate rule followers- and a two kitties who stay out of the way when they’re around! Any and all questions welcome. Stop by and check us out anytime :)

Thank you for taking care of Milo! Really appreciated the updates and attention given to him. He’s usually pretty nervous when left with other people but he seemed pretty comfortable :)

Another amazing stay with Lily! Leo did not want to come home after getting so much love and attention with her family! And getting to play with other dogs! Lucky Leo!!

Pets are treated like beloved house guests. They are allowed in common areas & on furniture. We do not allow them in the master bedroom area as it’s where we will mainly keep our cats. We do not crate unless you give us a crate or ask us to. We do use safety gates and/or doors to make sure pup is safe if we go out briefly, typically less than two hours i.e. grocery shopping run (boarding- with daycare I am fully home unless otherwise agreed to), but we do not coop them up unnecessarily. For drop ins or housesitting, a variety of tasks and pet specific needs may be detailed in advance. Contact me directly for more info!

Information Lily Q. would like to know about your pet

Questions about your pup: Are they potty or puppy pad trained? Eating habits? Aggression towards other dogs or people? Fears? Are they used to kids or cats? (Ok if not) What training methods you use? Crate trained? Used to sleeping alone or with people? Have they ever been boarded before?

A typical day

I live in a nice, quiet neighborhood with safe streets for walking or jogging. We have tons of Kong and Starmark toys (sanitized), a big backyard for fetch and frisbee, and plenty of time for cuddles and belly rubs.
