Experienced same-day dog walking
Pet care experience
I have been walking large dogs (golden retrievers, labs, bernese mountain dog) for my neighbors since I was 11, as well as having owned large and small dogs most of my life. I have been trusted to feed and walk dogs regularly while the owners were out of the house, and also to provide in-house care for dogs with separation anxiety. I bathe my own dog and would be willing to provide that service as well. I also have animal experience outside of dog walking, as I worked on a horse farm for six years. I love dogs and enjoy taking care of them.

Lily is a delight. She absolutely loves dogs and has walked or watched dogs all around our neighborhood. Lily has a way with animals and does well with small, shy dogs, or larger rambunctious ones.

I can walk dogs in my client's neighborhood, or take them to a park if the client feels comfortable with that. I am very careful to keep dogs leashed at all times, and I make sure to give them my full attention. I walk on the sidewalk or in the grass, and generally stay away from other dogs to be safe when taking care of someone else's pet. When tasked with feeding, bathing, or dog sitting, I give the dog my full attention, avoiding distractions, and follow the owner's instructions to the letter to make sure that the dog is comfortable and well taken care of.

I can work with dogs that are shy around people and dogs that are rambunctious. I would like to know if a dog has any behavioral problems beforehand, or any preexisting medical conditions that I need to be aware of. I would like to know if a dog requires heavy exercise, because I have a medical condition and I'll have to prepare for that a little more than just a walk.
A typical day
I live near Shelley Lake, which has great walking and hiking trails and connects to the Greenway. I love taking dogs on hikes and I can take them to a dog park nearby to run and play with other dogs if we're out for more than an hour.

I am currently available Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 1:00 pm-9:00 pm, as well as Saturdays and Sundays after 12:00. I have a job as a photographer for my university, so some of my hours may vary.
