Pet care experience
Hello! I'm Lily, I would love to spend time with your pet when you aren't able. I've been around cats, dogs, and many other animals since the day I was born. I've yet to meet an animal that I didn't get along with. I grew up around dogs of all sizes from a 10 lb terrier mix to an almost 200 lb great pyrenees! I am currently a full time graduate student at University of Chicago. I currently live with my cat Theodore who is a 17lb orange sweetie, even when he's causing too much mischief in the house. I'd love to help you out with your pet in any way you need! Please feel free to contact me regarding walking, check-ins, playtimes, and even other things should they not be listed. 10/10 would recommend Lily as a perfect dog caregiver. They are truly passionate about dogs and will treat every dog as if it were their own. I have an 80 lb Pitbull which can be intimidating to some people, but Lily was calm and patient which made my dog feel relaxed and safe.
Lily watched my two dogs for the first time over a year ago and took better care of than I could have hoped. Both of my dogs are rescues from abusive homes and very skittish to new comers but Lily was patient while still being able to take the reigns. I have trusted Lily to dog sit and walk my dogs on every occasion I deem necessary since.
Lily has been a lover of animals for their entire lifetime. They grew up in a home full of both indoor and outdoor cats and dogs with a strong sense of responsibility for the well-being and safety of each pet, including for their current cat. They know that your pet isn't just an animal--he or she is part of your family. Lily is a responsible caretaker of animals who is sure to tailor care to the personality of each individual animal, whether that includes feeding schedules, toy preferences, or walking habits.
Lily is an incredibly sweet and compassionate person that I trust around my pets! My lil babies (Spooky the cat and Sooty the bunny) have gotten nothing but love from Lily—even my nervous baby bunny was happy to be held and petted, her body language expressing nothing but safety, comfort, and contentment. That’s how I really know that Lily is an amazing person around animals, especially mine—the immediate trust they displayed! I’d let Lily put my babies in a harness and take ‘em around town any day.

I've been around all different kinds of animals and have a very strong view on meeting the animal where they are at and giving them what care and comfort they need. A typical day
Let me know what kind of environments your dog feels safe and comfortable in and those are the spaces we will go! Some dogs love a hike or the dog park, where others might only feel safe in their own neighborhood. I want to make sure I'm keeping your dogs in their comfort zone!

Availability
I am not very available during the school year due to a rigorous schedule, however, in the summer months I am completely open and available. I'd rather not walk dogs late at night, but that's mostly because I'm someone who goes to bed pretty early.
