Pet care experience
I have grown up with dogs and cats all my life and have over 20 years of personal and professional experience. My fiance and I are both enthusiastic animal lovers who would love to have pets in the home on a part-time basis! We are both very active and love walking around our safe, residential neighborhood in Somerville. My fiance works from home and I work nearby (about 20 mins away). We would share the responsibilities of pet-sitting like we do with our other professional private clients. I walk in the mornings before work and after work when I get home. My partner walks during lunch break and early afternoon. We can easily crate dogs as needed. We have a spacious 1 bedroom apartment with a fenced in yarded outside. We are a very friendly couple who will give your animal lots of love and attention.

Jim and Lily are great! They took care of my dog for two weeks and did a great job. For context, my dog is more a son to me than a dog. I got pictures every day as I requested and they also paid attention to his behavior and kept me up to date on his eating habits. Five stars is not enough.
Lily and Jim were absolutely wonderful with our senior cat. Their apartment is a lovely space and our cat found plenty of warm and sunny spots in which to lounge. They were communicative and provided updates and photos throughout the stay. I would 100% book again with Lily and Jim!
Lily and Jim were great with our neurotic Boston Terrier! They are clearly dog lovers and sent us plenty of photos during our weeklong trip; he came back to us safe and sound and exhausted (always a great sign!). Will definitely use L&J again and would recommend them to anyone in the Somerville / Medford / Cambridge area.
Lilly and Jim did an amazing job sitting for our dog Teddy. They bonded with him almost immediately. They took great care of Teddy for eight days while we were on a cruise. We received numerous photos and updates during that time. Lilly and Jim gave Teddy his required daily medications without any problems, and kept him on his regular feeding schedule. Jim works from home, and was able to give Teddy huge amounts of attention. If you're looking for sitters that love animals and will treat your pet as their own, you can't do any better than Lilly and Jim. Because of the great care Teddy received, we will continue to use Lilly and Jim for future sitter needs.

A typical day
I will walk the dog in the morning and take them to the dog park nearby. It is not too crowded there in the mornings. During lunch, I will take the dog for a walk in between meetings and play with him as needed. I really try to go by what the dog wants to do most and respond accordingly. Then later afternoon/early evening, we go for another walk and then one last quick walk before bed-time.

Availability
We share pet-sitting responsibilities equality. I provide care in morning and evening (before and after work) and my partner cares for the pet during the work day. It fits very well into our normal rhythms and routines .
