Fun On A Farm! CPR/First Aid✔

Pet care experience

I absolutely love animals and couldn't imagine life without out furry friends. I've had dogs for over 10 years and know what it's like to leave them behind. I strive to make the transition as easy as possible, your pup will be treated like one of our own. Including, whatever rules you may or may not have in your household. Their happiness and safety is what matters. I live on just over 5 acres on a beautiful farm on the north fork of Long Island. There is a large fenced yard just for visiting dogs and two separate areas for both big and small dogs. Your dog can play in the grass, take a nap under a shady tree or swim in the salt water pool, whatever they decide, I'm sure they'll have a wonderful time on the farm. I also have a private suite available for aggressive, anxious, females in heat, or just dogs that would prefer to be alone. Scroll down to the bottom of my profile to read more about the Canine Cottage! The yard is connected right to the living room, so dogs can come in and out as they please for unlimited playing and napping. I have a "puppy-proof" room as well, it's a hallway that's attached right to my bedroom with a dog gate separating it so I can see and hear your pup. It's a great way to make sure puppies that come stay with me are safe and protected at all times. Nothing dangerous to chew, eat or destroy. This is a farm, and it isn't just limited to dogs. There are also, horses, donkeys, goats cats and more. Everyone is safe and contained in their own space so there isn't any worry about injuries if your dog doesn't like other species. All my animals get along and the dogs love giving the horses kisses whenever I let them into the pen. My dogs, Indy and O’Malley make sure all visitors feel welcomed and at home. There isn't a dog they don’t like, big or small. Indy has even worked to help gage dogs aggressiveness levels in the past. Whoever your dog may be, they’re always around to keep your dog company and be a constant playmate. I have taken the American Red Cross class for pet first aid and CPR, we have a fully stocked first aid kit just for pets. Safety is my number one priority. Trust that while you're away, your pet is safe and happy in my care. Running the farm (including caring for the dogs that visit) is a full-time job, so I'm always around. It's the ideal situation if your pup has anxiety issues or needs medication at certain hours. It's rare that I have to leave the farm for more then a couple hours a day and most days I just stay and do work around the farm. If you’re looking for an inexpensive option to board your pet while you’re away, I’m probably not the choice for you. But, if you’re looking for 24/7 care with someone who’s always around and making sure your dog is happy, healthy and having a good time, then I just might be a good fit for you and your furry family member. Every dog that stays with me becomes a temporary member of the family and more often then not, they’re recurring visitors. I remember all the dogs that have stayed with me, as they’ve all left their own distinct impression. From the ones I’ve watched grow up from puppies to the dogs I’ve just met. You'll get pictures galore while you're away and I'm sure your furry friend and I will be having a ball in all of them. Your pet will love their stay on the farm! The Canine Cottage: A private suite, built exclusively for dogs. The Canine Cottage is perfect for dogs of all kind, big or small. It has heat and AC, along with a window, large 15x30 private yard with 6ft fencing that has slanted overhangs for jumpers, wire/wood edges for diggers and cozy furnishings. Pictures of the cottage are available by scrolling through my photos. Separated from the main yard, it has full privacy for your sweet pup. It's located just outside the front door and completely visible from the living room windows. It has a motion-activated light on the front and two doggy-doors for complete in and out privileges. Because of it's convenient location, it enables me to frequently check in and offer a game of fetch, belly-rubs or just some company. Please note that the Rover calendar is for regular bookings and not the Canine Cottage. Therefor, if it says I'm booked, there is a good chance the cottage is available! The Canine Cottage is currently booked for the following dates: August 9-17th August 26-September 9th

We recently hired Lily to handle a very specific task for us over the summer. We needed someone to bring our handicapped dog Ellie Mae to our wedding for us. Lily eagerly agreed and was excited to help! It was a hot day so Ellie couldn’t stay long so Lily brought her home and fed our pack for us while we enjoyed our day. 10/10 would recommend Lily for any of your pets needs. Thanks Lily!

From the moment we met Lily, who is a calm and responsible animal lover, my dog Phoebe was at ease and I knew she would be in good hands. The spacious property and company of her dog Indy were highlights of Phoebe's stay with her recently. I appreciated all of the updates, photos, and videos. I won't hesitate to rebook in the future and highly recommend Lily!

Lily was amazing and Harley had a great time! The property is gorgeous and she has safe, fenced in areas for the dogs to play. She sent adorable pictures of Harley, and kept us updated on how he was doing. We would definitely rebook with Lily and wished she lived closer; we felt entirely comfortable leaving Harley and were so grateful he had so much fun.

Cat Care: Cats are always welcomed at Sunny Shore Farms! I have a completely secure and covered “catio” that is attached to my bedroom for easy in/out access. You’re feline friend will be safe and happily spend their days sunbathing and birdwatching while here. The catio alone can be completely private without the intrusion of other cats or animals. If you’re interested in having your cat stay solely in the catio, without indoor privileges, it’s $25 per night.

Information Lily C. would like to know about your pet

Spayed or neutered? Potty trained? Vaccinated? Flea/tick prevention? Anxieties? Allergies, medications? Special needs? Get along with other animals? These are all things I'd like to know before we meet so I can get a better sense of your pup and provide the best care possible. I'd also love to know any little preferences your dog might have. Treats, sleeping, activities. Anything to make their stay a positive experience.

A typical day

I'm always trying to engage my visiting dogs in fun activities. Whether it's a game of fetch, a belly rub, or just lying at my feet while I do work on the computer.
