Pet care experience
I have experience with dogs both long term and short, and of various breeds. I fostered a service dog for a summer to train him in obedience and socialization, he taught me just as much as I taught him. I also had a little foster, Rita, who has since gone to a wonderful family (and I even get to babysit her sometimes!) I have also volunteered at a local shelter in Virginia, while I was at school, for dog walking and socialization. I love dogs of all types, shapes and sizes, especially my very own Allen. I adopted him from the Little Shelter and He is one of the best decisions I've ever made. I haven't met a dog I didn't love, and I would love to help you with yours! I can provide walks Friday-Sunday, and can be flexible on length/activity level based on your pups needs.

Lily took SUCH good care of Stevie while I was home for 10 days (!!) for the Fourth of July. It was the longest I’ve ever had to board Stevie and I didn’t have to worry at all as I knew she was in great hands with Lily. On top of getting so many cute pics every day, Lily also made sure that Stevie had appropriate activity for the NYC summer heat which I truly appreciated. Would highly recommend Lily for boarding & pet sitting!
Lily is such an awesome dog sitter! I was nervous about finding the right person for my dog as she is anxious around new people. Lily made sure to accommodate all of my dogs needs by providing toys,treats and a comfy spot while she dog sat for the day. She gave my dog the time she needed to feel safe and get comfy in her new environment, and once my dog felt relaxed she of course loved cuddling with Lily. Lily also is great at providing updates throughout the day, which made me feel more at ease knowing my dog was happy and enjoying her time. I definitely trust her to watch my dog again, which is great because not everyone can handle dogs with anxiety/nervousness. So I would recommend any dog owner to consider Lily to help with their pet needs. Thank you, Lily!!

We have been using Lily on an ongoing basis to walk our golden retriever while we are at work. Our golden Bailey is very active, and Lily has done a wonderful job helping her get her energy out during the day. Lily is confident with dogs and we feel more than comfortable leaving Bailey in her care! Lily is reliable, responsible, and we know that Bailey is in good hands. Thanks Lily! Before any overnight stay, I ask that we schedule a “meet and greet” for an hour or two to ensure my dog and your dog’s comfort. There is no extra charge, I just like to make sure everyone is happy during their stay!

Please let me know about any behavioral things to expect while your pup is here - anything from happy pees or food aggression is helpful! I have my own pup here so I like to make sure we both know as much as possible about the furry friend we have staying with us.
A typical day
I like to talk with parents about what the dog likes to do! Everyone is different - some just need a lap to lay on while others need a play partner. Some of the pups that have stayed with me have attended dog birthday parties, hikes, and sunbathing just to name a few!

Availability
I have the days I work from home as my available days! This means I can take potty breaks, play between meetings and introduce my new coworker to everyone. I live close to Central Park so I love to go there when I can for walks or even just to get outside. We’re pretty easy going in this house so we can make sure we cater the stay as close to their home routine as possible!
