I have been an animal keeper for over 6 and a half years, with experience from looking after domestic animals like goats, mice, to exotic animals like snakes, birds, and tortoises. Caring for every animal is my number 1 priority every day, whether it be the animals at work or my pets at home. I love caring for animals, it’s one of the most rewarding jobs you can find. From living with animals and working with them, I have learnt that patience is one of the most important skills to have, animals don’t always do as you want and you have to respect that, and go at their pace to make sure not to lose their trust and that they are happy in their environment. I’m very aware of animals needs, seeing a variety of animals has helped me to understand what different behaviour implies and how to respond to them.
