Pets just want to be loved!
Pet care experience
I have had a love of dogs since I was little. Eight years ago, I convinced my family to get a puppy of our own! He is a six-pound schnauzer (yes, that is full grown!) that wants all of everyone's attention. Most of my family and friends have dogs, ranging in all sizes, that I am around constantly. I have dog sat for a couple in my neighborhood, who have three golden retrievers, on several occasions over the past five years. I have also dog sat a boxer and pit bull for coworkers of my parents. I have noticed that some of the bigger dogs I have taken care of like to jump up onto people when they get excited, this can scare individuals who aren't used to bigger pets. When I am around bigger dog that jump, I used motions and rewards to get them to stay on their four paws, turning this into a tendency takes times and exposer so it can be hard when I am with them for short periods of time but after a while, they can learn how they are supposed to act around people. I also have to occasionally give the dogs I watch their medicine. I know of several ways to hide pills so that an animal will take it, my dog however is not fooled by the disguises, so I know of a quick and easy way to feed him the pill. Through college I fostered three dogs through a local animal rescue, a 1-year-old pit mix, 3-month-old terrier mix, and a 2-year-old chihuahua mix. I kept these dogs for different lengths of time but was able to potty train and teach them basic commands.
Reviews
Lilly took great care of Cash & Cersei. We appreciated receiving daily pics or updates while we were gone. The pups were more relaxed at home and enjoyed having company. We already have scheduled another booking with Lilly!
Our dogs seemed to be very comfortable around Lilly! Very accommodating to our last minute vacation plans!
Lilly did an excellent job taking care of our elder dog Kodi and watching our house. Very responsive and reliable.
Lilly did a great job taking care of our Daisy! Would definitely rebook in the future!

Safety, trust & environment
I typically take my dog for a mile to 2-mile walk when I get home from work, that way he can get out some energy and use the restroom. I always make sure he is taken outside with a leash and harness; I don't like attaching the leashes to collars to protect their throat and neck.
