Experienced Doggy Daycare Employee

Pet care experience

Accepting non recurring clients for walks and drop in visits! I worked at Tailwaggers’s Doggy Daycare De Pere & Bellevue for over five years. What initially seemed to be a perfect high school job, since I had a huge love and passion for dogs, turned into a long term job that I have kept going back to whenever I go back home from school. Within those five years, I have gotten used to what it means to build a bond with a dog, how to gain their trust, and how to be their friend. At Tailwaggers, it was always a priority to make sure everyone’s dogs were safe, happy, and healthy. I have always taken it a step beyond, and have made sure I have gotten to know every dog I work with. Each dog is different, and that means my relationship with each of them has to be different. Being patient, kind, and compassionate has been one of the best things I have learned over the past five years as a pack leader and receptionist. I like to have fun with them and be more on their level, being more like a friend to them than anything else. I am known for some of the best ear scratches around, and have taken some pretty spectacular dog photos! During my time at Tailwaggers, I have also been trained in basic dog first aid and have been given dog CPR training. I also can comfortably administer medications from pills to insulin. Additionally, I’m very familiar with reading dogs and their behaviors. Though I am used to working with large groups of dogs, I have also had one on one or single family dog sitting experience. I have never met a dog I didn’t like, and I have experience working with the smallest Miniature Pinschers, to the biggest Bull Mastiffs, so I am comfortable with any size! Additionally, I am comfortable working with puppies and elderly dogs.

Lillian is so great with bernard! She takes the time to let him sniff and be outside while I rest for night shift. Its very helpful and always lets me rest easy and shes walking him. He genuinely looks forward to their walks. Thanks again lillian!

Lillian was great! She let me know that my dog cut the walk short and she played fetch with him for the remaining time. She was super nice and responsive. I would definitely hire her again!

Please let me know if your dog has any special needs or behaviors that I should know about them before walking and spending time with them, especially if it is something I may encounter while on a walk. I have experience working with blind and deaf dogs, though I have worked with a handful of dogs with other special needs.

I am currently not accepting new clients. I work an unconventional job and occasionally work form 9-5 but often from 3-10, depending on the day. For my existing clients, I will do my best to make accommodations. I work this job primarily from March - October, so I would prefer to not take on recurring clients.
