Quaint Farm Getaway
Pet care experience
I’ve been an avid animal lover from a very young age and have worked with many different types and life stages. My most extensive experience is with horses, but I have also managed flocks of chickens, rehabilitated sick cats, trained dogs, have been responsible for the care of sheep. I was that girl in high school that everyone brought their sick pets to. Nowadays I’m the one people ask for advice concerning everything from behavioral to health problems. As my husband and I are starting our personal farm I am opening up my pet sitting to a more people.
Reviews
Lillian did a wonderful job, my dogs loved her. I will be using her in the future.
Lily did a wonderful job looking after our dogs and cats. She gave them her full attention and provided us with updates and pictures. Will definitely use her again in the future.
Very attentive and I felt very comfortable leaving my marlee in Lillian’s care!
Our Sophie not only received excellent care, she had a super time on her stay at the farm as always. She was actually reluctant to get in the car to return home. She wanted to stay with her Irish Wolfhound friends. We're so fortunate to have such a competent, loving sitter for our dog.

I have a 18 acre farm for dogs with a good recall to play on. These dogs can spend most of their day joining me and my own pets in caring for the farm. For dogs without a good recall, I do have a smaller horse paddock that I can let them play in. The fence will hold most dogs of every shape and size. Interaction between residents of the paddock and your pets will only be allowed at my discretion. The residents are dog-friendly and will be moved to another area for your pup’s playtime. I also have access to 25 acre of woods with trails to take dogs on more extensive walks. My personal farm consists of chickens, quail, sheep, a pony, a cow, two large dogs and pigs. I personally feel that a happy pet is one that has a job. In coming to my farm your pets will be treated like my pets. I am not prone to spoiling but I do like to reward jobs well done. There are a few rules but they are easy to learn. Most visiting pets are pros within 15 minutes. I have several toys and puzzles to entertain pups that are more indoor oriented.

Information Lillian B. would like to know about your pet
I ask that you inform me of your dog’s typical schedule, rules, allergies, special needs and old injuries. I find pets are more comfortable in a new environment if their routine stays fairly similar. As farm life is typically fairly active, I ask to be informed of previous injuries so that I may monitor your dog and ensure they do not cause these spots to flare up.
A typical day
A typical day consists of a quick potty break in the morning, dog breakfast before starting morning chores. Morning chores are typically finished with a long walk or run. After that, we come back in for my breakfast and the pups stay inside with me while I take care of some inside chores. Most dogs choose to nap at this time. We go back out once more before lunchtime. After that we frequently go in and out depending on the chores required of that day. Each day has a certain amount of flexibility so that I can cater to your pups a little more. (I.e. A senior dog may need shorter doses of exercise and longer naps) At dusk, we can normally be found doing the final checks on the outside animals before heading in for a spot of supper for everyone. Then one last potty before before bedtime.

I’m currently managing my personal farm and have a seasonal part time job that takes me away Thursday, Friday and Saturday afternoons. Other than that, I am typically at home.
