I joined Rover in January, 2019 and am so glad I did! This is a wonderful experience. I request a Meet and Greet for new clients, the meeting is very important, everyone needs to be comfortable with each other before a stay. I want to listen to the owners tell me about their pet(s), ask each other any questions we might have. I love taking pictures so I will enjoy sending you photos of your pup having a great time at my house. I talk to the dogs, might sound silly to some but It works for me. As I talk I make sure I use their names so they know I am speaking to them, I generally walk over and pet them as well, and I use happy tones and/or soothing tones as necessary throughout the day which I believe makes a difference in how the message comes across. I make sure every dog has individual attention and focus from me. In the afternoon when it is time to rest from the busy morning of play and fun I put bird sounds on which seems to relax the dogs into a peaceful slumber. I am organized with any medications or special dietary restrictions so that wouldn’t be a problem.
