Call me the dog whisperer

Pet care experience

(Not really😅. Just trying to have a catchy headline!) I love our furry friends and while spoil them at times know the importance of keeping them trained. For about a year now I’ve had my work cut out for me with my Yorkshire Terrier rescue. I like to watch “Its me or the dog” to help me out with his personality and highly recommend even if you don’t have a behavioral issue you’re searching to correct. Unfortunately, I have had to care for a sick dog and a cat. So, I have had experience administering medicine orally and by injection. Since moving to Denver, I have cared for my neighbor’s Rhodesian Ridgeback when she went out of town. I was sure to give him, at minimum, an hour long walk 3 times a day while also playing in the park. If your dog isn't puckered out after our walks..I'm not sure your dog gets puckered out!! I love dogs and most importantly love making sure our best friends don't feel lonely if you can't be there with them. If you’re hoping to board your buddy with me at my apartment, we must first have an introduction with my 3lb Toby.

Lilah was so thorough and attentive to my dog Chippy! She was flexible and understanding when I got stuck out of town for longer than I had anticipated. Her pup Toby is so adorable and I would recommend Lilah to anyone! Very trustworthy and a clear animal lover ❤️

Lilah was communicative leading up to the visit and asked great questions. She has a small dog so it was nice for mine to have a friend!

Lilah did a fantastic job caring for our cat and our doggo, who had recently had a leg surgery. She was easily able to handle giving him his medications, restricting his activity, and getting the cone of shame on and off as needed. She is friendly and communicative about the pets, and sent us several photos and updates during her stay. We would definitely recommend her!

Lilah is an dedicated animal lover and person. She’s responsible and caring with everything she does. She’s had animals her entire life and shown so much passion and care towards every living being. She isn’t just a standard person who would walk your dog, she would also understand each dogs behavior and medical needs (I.e., senior dog needing to take it slower or high energy breed). She feels strongly about picking up their waste and keeping them warm, safe and exercised. I’ve always trusted her with my own pets and know she’d be someone you’d want to keep around for a long time.

I live in a 1 bedroom apartment that may feel tight for any dog larger than medium size. I also have a 3 pound Yorkie that loves other small dogs. If you have a medium sized dog they will definitely need introduced on a walk together. Generally with this introduction Toby will behave and generally just wants my attention in the apartment. Our complex does have a small dog run but I do not like using that space as a substitute to taking a dog out. I have never and will never ask your dog to go potty without taking them on a healthy walk. My boyfriend lives with me and works from home. So, there is always somebody around giving your pup the attention and love it needs.

Information Lilah W. would like to know about your pet

Let me know if your dog has any special needs or is particularly hard at adjusting in new homes. If they like to bark a lot in the house I’d prefer to house sit rather than board as not to disturb my boyfriend working from home.

A typical day

I love making sure dogs are mentally stimulated and at ease while you are away. If what comforts them is playing with toys we will do that, if they prefer cuddles, I will cuddle all day. If you have any preferences for treats after walks or when they are good let me know and they will get spoiled if you’d like!

I work from home remotely from 11-8. Mornings I can ensure a long healthy walk. My first ten is at 1, hour lunch at 3, last ten at 6. Cuddles do not need to coincide with breaks 😋. I am open to long-term set schedules and am very flexible!
