I've worked as a dog walker and pet sitter on and off alongside undergrad & grad school. I love working with animals and consider it a privilege to care for any pet's physical and emotional needs! Lidia did an amazing job rolling with some changes to our plans. My girlfriend and I got sick leading up to our trip and things became a little less concrete on when we would be leaving. Lidia was great and communicating and helping out with Benny when we were finally able to get out for our trip.

I make sure to take care and follow all house rules. If I'm caring for your pet in your own home, I try and maintain your already set schedule so I can best meet the pets needs. I'm always super prepared for anything - whether that means keeping treats and dog bags in every coat pockets or making sure there's a copy of emergency contacts saved in my phone at all times, I've got it handled!

Aside from the more typical food and medical information, I also like to know their typically walk and play schedule - times they usually go out and how much they typically can/want to walk, how often they play and with what toys, how they are around other dogs when walking. Keeping a consistent schedule can be really important to dogs! I also like to know about their favorite activities or areas of the house, so I can keep them comfortable. Anything that causes reactions (aggressive or fearful) is extremely important so as to best avoid them.
A typical day
When it comes to your pets, I make sure to keep them happy in all regards! I like to assess where I am with the dogs with some fun play time - physical games and play with toys are fun, but I also love toys that stimulate dogs mentally and let them figure stuff out on their own! I also love to visit a nice open park and get off the sidewalks. If we can, even just going to get coffee with a dog and sit outside in the fresh air can be a great activity.

Availability
I'm currently a full time grad student, so I'm mostly making time for pet sitting and overnight at-home care, rather than just casual walks, so I can focus on one household and take care of all your pets needs. Because of my flexible schedule, I have a lot of time to care for your pets!
