In addition to having my own dogs for most my life, I've taken care of dogs, cats, and other animals while living overseas. I've cared for a herd of Shetland ponies in the western fjords of Norway and a heap of sheep in a remote village in Kyrgyzstan. I love all dogs, but especially high energy dogs I can run with or play with. Favorite activities with my dogs include tearing through the house, sliding on the wood floor, prancing through sprinklers when we get hot during our routine 5km run, pausing mid-run for belly rubs and ear scratches, and collapsing into the dog bowl when we need to cool off. I am a loving goof with animals, but don't let my silly side make you think I'm less reliable! I have a broad range of work experiences and I'm currently pursuing a master's degree at Johns Hopkins. I'm new to Rover, but one thing I'm sure I can offer that others don't is that I'm willing to run with your dog. It's perfect if you want to tire them out before a long car ride or if your high energy dog needs more stimulation to keep from chewing your couch. It has helped our lurcher with her anxiety and nervousness, and of for no other reason, it's fun for the dogs!
