Pet care experience
I have been an animal lover all my life. I am familiar with both small and larger dogs. I grew up with two shih tzu’s and a larger mixed breed dog. Taking care of animals and keeping them engaged in an active environment has always been a passion of mine.

I had a new puppy and I was freaking out because it kept hiding, crying and wouldn’t eat. Lee came over to help. She assessed the environment and food I was giving her. It turns out she was hiding from my noisy washer and dryer and she wouldn’t eat because I was feeding her puppy food that she wasn’t ready for yet. Lee gave me a list of things to change and in a few days it was like I had a different puppy. She was bunny hopping everywhere, nipping my fingers, and her stomach was plump from all the goat’s milk. I don’t even want to think about what would have eventually happened had Lee not stepped in.
I’m not sure what my dog went through in her past life, but she is a terror when it comes to encountering new people. Liandra was tasked with taking care of my dog while I was on a business trip. Their first meeting surprised me because instead of barking, she wagged her tail, ran up to her and rolled onto her back for a stomach rub. That’s one of the most comforting things for an owner to witness. I didn’t worry about her at all while I was gone. When I came back to get her, I held my hands out to pick her up and she gave me a five and ran right back over to Liandra. She was more interested in showing me her new trick than coming home with me. She loved her time there.

I used to be work for Rover when I was in college as it was a great way to optimize my free time while doing something I am passionate about. Recently, my schedule has become more flexible and with the passing of my childhood dog, I think it would be great to start working with animals again.
