Pet care experience
I’ve been taking care of pets for the last 3 years including dogs and cats, but not limited to smaller animals. Friends and family friends relied on me to walk, feed, play, clean-up after, and stay overnight with their babies. I am experienced with dogs and cats of all sizes/personalities, as well as sticking to a strict schedule depending on the pets needs. I’m very patient and loving of all animals, so I really enjoy my time with their babies and getting to develop relationships with them.

Lexie did an amazing job taking care of my cat Susu when I was on vacation for more than two weeks. She visited my home twice a day, fed Susu, groomed her, and creatively played all kinds of games with her. She wrote detailed report each time, with tons of lovely photos! Susu soon developed an intimate bond with Lexie and waited at the door for her visit. Lexie also kept the house clean, she scooped the litter, vacuumed the floor, collected the mail, and handled the trash. She’s very flexible, I changed my schedule a few times and she was always available to help. Lexie left a heart-warming card and gift for Susu and me on her last visit, which was such a nice surprise. I highly recommend Lexie to all cat owners, you will have peace of mind that your fur babies are in good hands. Susu will be happy to see Lexie again when I am on my next vacation! Thank you, Lexie!
Wonderful job with our two standard poodles! One is a puller and one is lazy so they are a challenging walk.

Lexi made drop in visits with our cat Kiwi this weekend while we were out of town. Kiwi loves attention and Lexi gave her lots. The sweet pictures of them interacting made me relax about leaving her. We will definitely use Lexie again when we need a cat sitter.

I like to treat the pets I’m watching as my own and develop relationships with them! I love to bring my own treats to spoil them (with the owners approval beforehand of course!) and give them tons of love and attention. If a pet has a troubled past or is reluctant in trusting me, I make sure to be extra patient with them in order to earn their trust and respect. I also listen to what their owners tell me about what they like and do not like whether it be playtime, walks, meeting other pets, etc., and ensure I cater to their likes and steer clear of their dislikes. If needed, I have no problem putting the pets I watch in their crates. In addition, I have experience with administering both injected medication and oral medication.

A typical day
A typical day depends on the dogs personality. If I have a dog that likes to go for long walks and enjoys some playtime after that, then great let’s do it! On the flip side, if I have perhaps an older dog that wants to go for a short walk, bask in the sun while outside, then get tons of pets during their visit, then I’m totally okay with that as well! I see this as THEIR time and let them take the lead :) I typically ask the owner before taking their dog(s) out on a walk where they like to go, how long they usually walk for, and how well they do around other dogs in order to get some insight before our walk together.

I currently work part-time on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 4-6pm, but other than that, I’m available everyday including weekends for pet care and have flexible hours.
