I recently adopted a rescue dog and have worked hard to connect with him. He went from not wanting anything to do with us to now cuddling regularly and playing joyfully with us. I would like to think that my care for him made him feel more at peace and comfortable with us. I have prior experience volunteering at a vet office and pet sitting for several years for family and family friends. I am in school to be a counselor and want to implement pet therapy into practice. I even coordinated the opportunity for pet therapy, specifically with dogs, to be provided to college students around finals week, and it was amazing to watch it lower their stress levels. I understand the major impact a dog can have on someone’s life and that is what makes me value them so much. Every animal deserves to be given the unconditional love that they give us. I would like to provide some care and love to your animal while you are away.
