Pet care experience
I grew up with my family having large dogs for over 26 years and we've had indoor cats as part of our family for over 20 years. Right now, my fiancé and I have a 50lb husky/akita mix and a 7-year-old shorthair cat. Our pup has learned over nine tricks through positive reinforcement training and she is crate-trained. If your pup needs medication, I know how to administer pills and liquids easily. I am also great at giving cats medication (I've owned cats that had irritable bowl and other health problems). I also have experience helping elderly pups with hip problems and making sure your pet adheres to any dietary needs or restrictions. I also have experience taking care of guinea pigs and bunnies. I don’t know how I got so lucky to find Lexi, but I am so thankful that I did. She was wonderful - took care of my dog who is older and requires meds, cleaned up after her small accidents, walked her twice a day, and also took care of my two indoor cats - litter boxes, food, and playtime. She sent me updates constantly including texts, pictures, and videos. It made our family’s trip much less stressful having someone so professional and reliable taking care of our animal family. Lexi is a true animal lover. She has a way with all pets and cares for them like family. I trust all my pets with her because I know she’ll take the best care of them. I have had her watch my husky, Rottweiler, shitzu, and basset hound with no issues whatsoever. I strongly appreciate her compassion and patience with dogs and would highly recommend her.

I am not able to provide in-home services for watching your pets, as much as I would love to, due to living in an apartment with pet restrictions. I am, however, able to watch your pet in your home without needing to spend the night since I live close by! And I'm happy to give lots of updates on your fur children while you're away.

I have no breed preferences. I would, however, like to know some of your dog's likes/dislikes and what they're afraid of. I also need to know if they try to escape when you open the front door, if I need to monitor them when they're outside so they don't dig their way out of your backyard, if they know how to get out of their harness or leash, and anything else that could lead to them escaping my care that could place them in harm's way.
A typical day
I enjoy walking your pup in areas they're comfortable and familiar with. Your dog's safety is my main priority, so unless you ask me to take them to a dog park, I will walk them near their home or play with them in their yard. I enjoy running, so if your dog likes to go on jogs, let me know and I can run out some of their energy (only earlier or later in the day, so they don't get too hot).

Availability
I work a full time 9-5 job, but I have most Sundays and Mondays available all day. My schedule tends to be flexible on weekdays too, so if your pet needs a quick walk mid-day, I am usually able to sneak away for 30-45min. I'm primarily available every morning before 9:00am and evenings after 5:00pm, even on weekends.
