Pet care experience
I've grown up with cats as family pets, and have even owned a special needs cat. My first job from elementary to high school was watching my neighbor's dogs after school. My husband and I have fostered/pet-sit dogs, and we foster kittens every summer. I work from home on a quiet street, so walks are easy. There are other dogs on our street, so dog-reactive dogs are a little more difficult, but not impossible if the owner has started reactivity training.
Reviews
Lexi and John love dogs and we have been extremely pleased with their interactions with Burfi. Soft spoken yet fun loving people to care of her… what more can one ask.
Awesome sitter- very flexible great time work with.
Awesome sitter! Would use again!

The street we live on is quite, and there is a dog park about a 15 min walk away. There are other dogs on our street, so dog-reactive dogs are a little more difficult, but not impossible if the owner has started reactivity training. We have cats, but they can be separated upstairs by a door if needed (one cat likes calm dogs, the other would rather sleep upstairs). If your dog is social we like to take them with us where ever we walk around town!

Information Lexi A. would like to know about your pet
I have worked with dogs that have lots of issues, so I am not intimidated by any rules owners set for their dogs. I like dogs of all sizes, but would prefer those that are not aggressive to people (but we can discuss 1:1 on an as needed basis). I'd love to have dogs come for repeated visits so we can really get to know each other. I'm also happy to visit your home to care for your cat, but prefer not to board, since I have my own.
A typical day
First thing in the morning we take a potty break! Then grab some coffee and do a morning activity, this could be an outdoor market, or a hike down to the dog park. If the morning is quiet we'll make sure to do a nice long lunch time walk, to get our jimmies out. If it's a work week the doggy day will be a bit more relaxed, but we can take up to five mini walks if needed. We always end the night with a good sniff around the block before tucking into bed.

Availability
I work from home on a quiet street, so walks are easy, and visits have some flexibility. I can board a dog on weekends as well, but it would be best/safest if they are crate-trained, as we have cats and would prefer dogs who enjoy sleeping in a crate. I will update weekend availability continuously to avoid future conflicts.
