I’m Lewis and I love dogs! I’ve had them my entire life and their unconditional love and companionship have brought me so much joy, that’s why connecting with new dogs that I dog sit is so special. Discovering their unique personalities and making new doggie friends while also giving back to families who need a little extra help, is the best way I can think of to spend my time. While I currently don’t own a dog, I have fostered multiple pups here in LA and volunteered at a Pit Bull shelter in Joshua Tree. As it was a privately run shelter, the dogs needed as much human companionship and affection as possible given their remote location. I spent my time walking, cuddling, and connecting with so many unique and sweet animals. I even adopted one of the pups I fostered, a Great Dane/Black Lab/German Shorthaired Pointer mix named Jasper. He was a beautiful dog, with serious abandonment issues and separation anxiety when I got him. Through comfortable crating, an anxiety vest, and lots of time and love, he transformed into a confident, loving dog. The decade we spent together was a very special time and I plan to adopt another pooch from the Joshua Tree shelter soon. In addition to my experience with dogs, I had a variety of other pets growing up - birds, cats, many goldfish, hermit crabs, and more. Our house was always filled with new critters I was bringing home! One of my favorite animals to care for are cats. They have such unique needs and activities, so I’m completely open to cat sitting as well. When your pup is under my care, I’ll make sure to do everything I can to make you and your dog feel completely comfortable and happy! For human clients, I love to send daily updates with accompanying pictures to show much fun we’re having together! I’ll also always keep my lines of communication open just in case any concerns or questions arise for either of us. For your pooch, I’ll stick as closely as possible to the schedule and regimen that they’re used to at home. I know that dogs are creatures of habits, so we’ll make sure they get fed, exercised, and loved at the right times--no matter what! When I’m not pet sitting, I’m an avid and frequent hiker. Seattle is filled with an amazing variety of trails and hikes, so your pup would be welcome to join me on any of these adventures!
