All dogs need love, food and exercise....and sleep! We will gladly and warmly accept all breeds into my home in Kits, or my girlfriend's in Olympic Village. I'm open to discussing any and all of your dog's needs, and will do my best to accommodate. Please consider your own dog's health and happiness when planning a stay with me and ensure they have adequate resources to keep them comfortable and make the transition as easy as possible. It is ideal for you to provide food, toys (particular chew toys/bully sticks) and treats to keep with their regular daily habits. Some important/helpful information for me to know in advance would be how your dog acts with other dogs and/or puppies (I can keep my 8 month old at a different house if known in advance). What is your dog's typical daily routine (what times do they walk/feed/go to the bathroom), their energy levels (how much exercise do they need), and how well do they walk on leash? What toys or treats are ideal to keep them engaged/stimulated? Does your dog have anything I should be cautious of such as a particular toy/human/cyclist/stroller aggression? Are there any particular commands you want used (such as "stay" vs "wait", "walk" vs "let's go")? Do you have your dog sit before crossing a road or walking through a doorway? Consistency really is key with any type of training.

Living in Kitsilano, and with my girlfriend's place in Olympic Village, I have a multitude of locations to take dogs to close by (such as Kits beach, Charleson Park, Hinge Park, Queen Elizabeth Park) and will also regularly drive to more adventurous locations for bigger walks, hikes or runs (Pacific Spirit Park, the North Shore, McDonald Beach in Richmond). Due to my career I understand the importance of health and exercise for us humans, and carry this knowledge into the dogs I look after. And who doesn't love some R&R cuddles on the sofa at the end of the day. They'll be a tired happy pup by the time they make it home!
