Dogs are my kids! Scary, but true!
Pet care experience
I started pet sitting when I was in college over 25 years ago. I have a ton of experience with lots of breeds and have administered medications (including injections and IV). My mother is a registered wild life rescuer, so I grew up knowing how to do a ton of stuff (Go to YouTube and type in Tish Hodgkinson t k Animals come first - trust me. I have 2 of my own and would do anything for them - a pug and a Brussels Griffin, both fixed females, and they LOVE company. My only issue is that if you need in house care, I will have to stay at your place. I am living at my parents' house for a short time and they have horses, a dog, cats, chickens, rabbits - almost a farm here! I would not bring my dogs to your home. Sorry, but no reptiles! (I am terrified of them!!) Otherwise, I can take care of dogs, cats, fish, horses, raccoons, skunks, squirrels...not joking!! I would prefer a house-trained or at least puppy pad trained dog. I know accidents happen, so no big deal. Also, if your dog is super food aggressive, that won't work. My 2 dogs are SO mellow and submissive that I would be worried they would NEVER eat. I can watch some of the time and make sure guarding is the only issue (adjustments always take place!), but if your dog is seriously aggressive, then my dogs will lose the battle since they are just too chill.
A typical day
Lots of parks and a dog park around here. Trails and nature abound in this area! So, it would help if you were local, since I know the area very well.
