Pet care experience
I have owned dogs most of life and spent a large part of my earlier career working for the humane society and have experience with really big dogs, little dogs and dogs that are...spirited! I do not currently have a dog at home so caring for other people’s pups helps me fill that void. I especially love taking care of senior dogs.

Care of your dog really depends on your dog and what is best for him/her. If he/she is more comfortable in a crate at night that is fine. Otherwise, your dog would chill with me crate free. He/she wouldn’t ever be left alone in my home. And only briefly alone in your home if it would be safe to do so. I usually take my dog with me when I run errands etc., so if your dog likes car rides, that would be perfect. Walks and swimming would be leash only unless we can establish that it is safe to be off leash. We have a great dog beach here in Marblehead that is lots of fun for most dogs. However, it can be overstimulating for some, in which case, we can do walks in the local, dog friendly, conservation area right out my front door. If you have a senior dog or smaller dog, that just wants to be loved on, that works too. We have some local dog parks as well if you have a dog that needs to burn off some energy and loves other dogs. I will meet your dog where he is at, so to speak.

Would appreciate knowing any habits your dog has, both good and bad. Insight is greatly appreciated so that everyone is safe and happy. My goal is to make your dogs time away from you as enjoyable and fun as possible.
A typical day
I enjoy walking in the Steer Swamps Conservation area right out my front door. There are some nice trails and it's very shady. I also have a resident pass for Riverhead, which is our dog beach here in Marblehead. That tends to be a lot of fun for some dogs! We can play with toys, go play ball in a park, go swimming or just sit under a tree...or on the couch.

Availability
I am completely remote and can work from your home where your animal is more comfortable or from mine. I do live in an apartment but will do frequent breaks for potty breaks and walks.
