Pet care experience
I am 22 years old, I live in the Newport News area of town but work in James City County so travel usually isn't an issue. I am a current student of Tidewater Community College, studying to become a Licensed Veterinary Technician. I am currently a Veterinary Assistant at a clinic in Williamsburg. Having the extra knowledge has a positive impact on most people I sit for. Making them more comfortable with me not only watching their pet but if something unplanned were to happen. I have had experience with dogs of all sizes, cats and a few exotics. My family has owned many pets over the years and currently hold 4 cats and 1 rabbit! I care for others animals as if they were my own. I look forward to meeting you and your fur baby! I do ask that you message me regarding a request and NOT rely on my Rover calendar. It does not have the option to block off certain times. I do have a busy work schedule but most people are okay with the way we work around it! Usually there is an initial house tour. I utilize your home in a way that your pet wouldn't even know you were gone! I interact with toys and other items available for play. I care for them in your home just as I would in my own.

Leslie was great. She made us feel very comfortable leaving our home and Mia in her care. She loved on Mia from the start and we knew she would give her the care she needed while we were gone, 5 paws.
She is one of the most responsible people I know. She loves animals and takes really good care of them. She works at a Vet right know feeding the animals and comes a long way on the weekend to do just that.
Leslie does such an awesome job while taking care of our crazy dog Barney! She has stayed with Barney several times while we were out of town. Barney is always happy to see her and you can see in her eyes that she loves him and all animals she comes across!
Leslie is absolutely amazing! She has such a love for animals and is so caring! Whenever I have problems with my animals she is always the first person I call for help!

I have no breed preferences. I do like to know the "Do's and Don'ts" of the pet before arrival. I will not sit highly aggressive pets (for my safety and theirs). Also if they are any neighborhood animals we may or may not get along with.
A typical day
Whatever their normal routine is! I want to make your pet feel comfortable while you are away, sometimes new places can stress a pet out, let alone a new person taking care of them. But I am very open to dog parks in the area if available! Whether your pet is a cute couch potato or wild and rambunctious, I can adjust to whatever they like!
