Cat and Dog Loving Teacher!
Pet care experience
Hi! My name is Leslie and I am a 1st grade teacher. I am looking to watch cats and dogs during my free time. I love animals! Throughout my life, I have always had a cat. I also raised a yellow lab puppy for Guide Dogs for the Blind for 2 years where I trained the puppy with many commands and expected behavior when walking and in every day life. I have house sat and took care of cats and dogs for various colleagues, family, and friends. I have looked after many cats and types of dogs from bichons, to basket hounds, to large labs. I will provide the services that you need, but generally I will take care of food, water, litter cleaning/dog walk, and of course play time and pets/cuddles :) I'm happy to do any small tasks around the home while you are out as well (bringing in mail/packages, turning on/off electronics, help with garbage removal etc) I am very quick to respond to owners to update them on their pets at home while they're out. Leslie did a great job taking care of my cat while I was away! She was very friendly and communicative and sent updates with pictures every day. She took the time to play with my cat each visit, and he seemed to warm up to her fairly quickly. I highly recommend Leslie and would definitely book with her again in the future.
Leslie looked after my cat Zuko while I was out of town for the weekend and did a fantastic job! She was very communicative and sent such cute pictures of Zuko, I could tell he loved her. She really went above and beyond to play with him, brush him, etc and made sure he was well taken care of. 10/10 recommend, thanks Leslie!

I would like to know any body parts they don’t like touched, there favorite spot to be pet, what things scare them, how they react when they see other dogs, what kind of energy they like from humans (excited or calm), and anything that will make them feel happy.
A typical day
I will greet your pet enthusiastically and give them lots of pets and attention. I’ll play with them indoors or outdoors depending on your preferences. For dog walks, we’ll walk around your neighborhood and to any park in walking distance. We’ll stop to smell the roses (but not eat them). We’ll be careful of other dogs and I’ll make sure there’s room between them. For cats, we’ll play with toys and any treats their parents left.

I have many breaks throughout the year, and will update them as I make plans. I will also be open at times when school isn’t as demanding during the afternoons and on weekends.
