Pet care experience
Having dogs all thru growing up and then into my adult life (not recently and I miss it!), I have such a love and unconditional respect for these amazing animals. I have done volunteer work for Rocket Dog Rescue and it’s amazing being able to help these dogs find homes. Really touches you and gets into your heart. Patience and understanding and love is the key to being a good dog caretaker. My work schedule is pretty flexible and I often have a lot of free time. I would be able to proved care at all time throughout the day/week. I emotionally connect with all animals, especially dogs (and cats!) I’m the best aunt to my brothers sweet adorable cavapoodle and it just makes me soo happy to spend a lot of time with her!
Reviews
My dog is very timid and Leslie was super patient with coaxing her out of her crate. She gave me a quick call for tips so she could get my dog out of the crate faster without scaring her. Even though that took a bit of time since my pup’s shy, Leslie still took her outside for the full 30 minutes instead of the remaining 20. Super happy with having her walk my dog!
Leslie is a very sweet patient person who has taken care of our dog many times while we are traveling out of town. She is very trustworthy and I would recommend her in a heartbeat!
Leslie is great with animals and loves them so much! She is dependable, trustworthy, kind and compassionate with animals (and with people too :)). Your dog is in great hands.

When I go to a clients home to walk a dog, the first thing I do is always make sure that I am really gentle and quiet when I come in through the door. I get low to them and make sure to allow the dog to smell my hand so I can start to gain their trust, however long that takes. I always tell them they’re a good girl or a good boy and if there’s treats available then I definitely share them. I’m always very sweet, yet in control and have their best interest at heart.
Information Leslie B. would like to know about your pet
I feel that it is important to know if the dog has a tendency to jump on people or barks a lot, as to that can scare children or any other people. I also like to know if there’s any medical conditions. Is the dog allowed to be off leash at the dog park.
A typical day
Well depending on where the client lives, I always love to try and tackle hills to get the best exercise in for the both of us. I love to find parks or open areas where the dog can have more freedom for running around on or off leash, but I’m always careful. Throwing a ball and playing chase or tug-of-war with a rope toy, anything to get the animal to be happy and active.
