Board your dog on ten acres of puppy paradise, 45 minutes north of Toronto, 20 minutes south of Barrie. I'm a writer/composer, so I work at home, taking frequent breaks to exercise and entertain my pets and boarders. There is a half acre fenced in area behind the house, and another nine and a half acres beyond. My home is surrounded by forests, parks and rivers, all perfect for walks, swims and romps. It truly is doggy heaven! My love affair with dogs was sparked by my uncle, who bred, trained and showed his German Shepherds in both conformation and obedience. I grew up, moved away from home and rescued my first dog, Penny, from the Humane Society. She went on to be featured in theatrical performances and TV commercials. My next dog, Jack, followed in Penny's pawprints, and he performed in films, TV commercials and stage plays. Then came Lexi, with whom I competed successfully in both Agility and Disc. Now I live with Maggie, a 4-year-old Border Collie who's just beginning her competitive career in both Agility and Disc.
