Hi, I’m Leona… caregiver to furry friends. A little about myself. I’m a Forest Heights residence & have been for almost 14 years. I have been a dog walker and caregiver for over 6 years. I am a reliable, trustworthy, kind, energetic, joyful and a loving individual. I do keep daily visits close to my residence, as I do not drive. Overnight sitting I will travel a little farther as long as the commute for daily visits in my neighborhood is feasible. And am available on a full-time basis. When I acquire a new client I set up a meet and greet to ensure we are all an appropriate fit. I have always had a love for animals. I will share a childhood story. When I was 7 years old I was always looking after and feeding strays in my neighborhood. I remember one in particular. I called her Midnight. Oh she had the blackest furs. She & I would spend time together before & after school. One day, and I will never forget. One by one she delivered her kittens to my door. Oh my heart was swollen with joy. I was very fortunate my mom allowed the family to reside with us. I put a cardboard box with a warm fuzzy blanket on an area in the living room and immediately they all knew they had a home. I would sleep on the carpet at night to ensure they were all safe. As an empath my heart does treat animals as I would want to be treated. I see no other way. I guess the moral of my story is, I have a very unique approach to the care, love and adoration I show furry friends. When a pet(s) is in my care I will assure you they are my utmost priority. I will engage, interact, play, walk and definitely have non stop talk. ****IF YOU ARE INQUIRING IN REGARDS TO DOG(S) WALKING MY RATES**** 20$/hr or 12$ 40min ****IF YOU ARE INQUIRING IN REGARDS TO DOG SITTING IN THE CLIENTS HOME ONLY**** My rates do vary depending on the needs of your dog(s). My usual rate is 35$ per day based on one dog. ****IF YOU ARE INQUIRING IN REGARDS TO CAT CARE**** 2 drop in visits/day (minimum of 1.5 hours / visit for 25$/day. Which includes litter box cleaning.

I have 2 frogs and a fish, and Leona followed my instructions exactly on how to care for them. She was willing to do the little extras to ensure they were happy and healthy. She was extremely reliable and conscientious and sent me updates about my critters. I feel very confident in hiring Leona to care for my animals in the future.
We had went away for a week and were really nervous about leaving our cats with anyone however Leona was amazing. She sent pictures and corresponded daily while we were gone and we knew our cats were well taken care of. They looked like they had so much fun with her. After we came back our cats would sit by the door waiting for her to show up. She is such an amazing person full of love for animals and it shows. We would recommend her to anyone and we will continue to have her come care for our cats... even if we don't go away but for a play date. They love her and we do too.
Leona has been amazing to my two (now 1) cats she is very attentive and loving toward them and genuinely cares for them. She is very responsible and reliable and gives me constant updates with pictures while I’m away. She monitors my cat feeding habits (which is extremely picky) and she is always finding new ways to get her to eat and making sure she is well cared for. Honestly I don’t know what I would do without her.
We have 3 rescue dogs all with there own set of issues and anxiety. We were so fortunate to find Leona and after the first meeting with the dogs I knew she was the right person to care for them during our 3 week vacation. The dogs were comfortable allowing her into our bedroom and even approached her for pets which they never do with strangers upon a first meeting. Leona wanted to ensure that everyone was comfortable so she came by for 3 meet and greets and they all went perfectly. We were able to enjoy our time away knowing the dogs were well taken care of. She sent me daily notes and pictures. When we returned our home was clean and tidy as well. I would highly recommend Leona to anyone who’s pets need a little extra care and attention, she definitely has a special way with animals. The Baumgartner Family
