Pet care experience
I have a great amount of experience with both cats and dogs of many breeds. I gravitate to any animal, and animals (friends and stranger's pets) seem to like my company and care as well! I have done long-term care for 2 cats (at different times) in my home. It was so sweet to care for them and have them as a part of my home life. I have dog-sat for multiple friends and family members animals. I am happy to continue any training work you have in the process as I love to gain an animal's trust and teach them through interactions and commands with treats!

When meeting or approaching a dog or cat for the first time I am always gauging their behavior and attitude to make sure I am welcome to interact. To introduce myself I'll extend my hand (with bigger dogs I usually make a fist in case they want to bite me, the stranger lol) for their sniff test and then give some or MANY pats when welcome to. I am very understanding of beloved pets who have trust issues or need time to process a new friend/caretaker. I don't mind light biting or scratching and if it gets any worse I understand how to deescalate animals with my body language, voice, and energy (seperation or picking them up safely). I will absolutely take adventurous or simple walks and find fun parks to play in. I will ensure your pet(s) are safe, fed, and content for the allotted time I am with them. Any tips surrounding their behavior on the home/backyard front vs. on a walk, commands/punishment/rewards you use routinely are appreciated! I am grateful to understand and care for your pet better!

I like to know if your pet is anti-social with other animals or humans, or mischevious with certain spaces. When chatting with you initially I will ask for this info and anything else you want to tell me to better care for your beloved furry pal.
A typical day
As a pedestrian and bicyclist I get to explore the paths and parks less traveled by car-owners. I love the many parks available in the Corvallis area and I am sure to find fun and safe spaces for your dog to run leash-free. I am also always up for a game of fetch or general silliness with furry friends.

My work schedule is fairly spread out through the week and is only 4-hour shifts between the hours of 9:30 am and 6:30 pm. In the time that I have blocked as available, I have plenty of time in the morning, afternoon, and evening to take care of your beloved pet!
