LGBTQIAPLUS FRIENDLY! Both of my grandmothers had dogs during my childhood—one owned a tiny dog and the other adopted a black Labrador. I had a blast helping them care for the pups and was exposed to the unconditional love of dogs early on. Those memories shaped who I am today and instilled in me a desire to care for animals of all types, shapes, and sizes, including dogs, cats, rodents, reptiles, and fish. I went on to work as a pet professional, where I gave dogs shots and tended to their needs, and I have been walking dogs for the past 13 years. I also adopted a Chipin (Chihuahua/Min Pin) from San Antonio Pets Alive years ago, and we did everything together until he passed at the end of February 2025 at age 15. I understand how important it is to keep your pet’s training going while you’re away, and I’m able to step in and make sure their routine matches what is done at home. Upon first meeting, I take my time and let my client’s pup warm up and get to know me in their own time. I get on their level and let them sniff me while I give pets and speak in a soothing voice until they understand that I’m someone who can be trusted. I go above and beyond for my clients by listening carefully to their needs and instructions and making sure I exceed their expectations in every way. I make myself available for questions and provide updates while they’re gone so they know their pup is in great hands when in my care! When walking, I keep the dogs moving while also giving them time to sniff and explore so both their mind and body are stimulated, and they feel happy with our adventure together!
