The most important thing to me is establishing a clear line of communication. What does the owner need me to know before pet sitting? Are there any home specifics they want me to know (dog can't go in the basement, et cetera)? Are there any medications and, if so, when and how are they administered. Once I get all of the specifics out of the way, it cuts down on any confusion and allows me to maximize the time and safety of the pet.

Let me know if your dog has any special issues or preferences when we meet. This will help me figure out whether to bring your dog to a dog park, to certain areas of the city when on a walk, et cetera. Same goes with cats too.
A typical day
I love to exercise, so taking long walks depending on the dog type can go a long way to keeping them healthy and happy. Depending on the dog breed, we could play fetch in a park or walk down by the water front.

Availability
As a law student, my schedule is very flexible. When not in class, I will be studying, which is conducive to house stays if needed because I can post up or check in with the animal frequently and walk as needed (in the case of dog-sitting).
