I've always had dogs in my life, and I probably spend more time with dogs than anyone else! So many of the dogs I watch can't wait to get here & reunite with friends & play together. I live in the city, in a huge complex with well-maintained, dog friendly grounds. There are plenty of paths & sidewalks to wander that are free of street traffic. I am within minutes of several vets. We have everything here, so all you really need to pack is food, I have bowls for both food & water, and a couple of dog beds for everyone. Dogs are welcome to sleep on the bed with me too. You are welcome to send over a few toys, but we've got a ton over here. If it's the first time you are leaving your dog, and think he/she may have a little anxiety, I suggest packing a shirt or blanket with your scent on it - that helps a lot. Being with other dogs is also great for calming nerves, joining our pack is very helpful. For dogs who are crate training, I have 1 large crate and 1 small crate here so you don’t have to drag your crate back & forth. I also have a few baby gates. My dog is bark collar trained, and excessive barking is extremely upsetting to him (and to my neighbors). If your dog is prone to frequent barking in general, or when playing or from separation anxiety, this might not be the right fit. Please note: I'm only available for drop offs & pickups between 9am-9pm.
