Pet care experience
Having grown up with two German Shepherds, I’ve always loved animals and being in their company. I dog-sit for my friends and family, which both my dog and I enjoy. I’ve also been volunteering at the Barn Sanctuary in Chelsea for 2+ years and can say I’ve made friends with many of the sanctuary’s residents.
Reviews
Lena was great with our Yorkie! She responds quickly and sent pictures and updates. We will keep her in mind for any future sitting needs.
Lena was fantastic! I have a sweet rescue pup named Sage, who can be a bit of a handful at times (she's very finicky) and has only been left with someone other than my mom a few times. But Lena was kind, patient, and understanding with Sage, so I could relax and enjoy my trip! She was great.
Lena is fantastic! My dog loved her and she took such great care. She sent pictures and updates which was great. Would definitely recommend!
Lena was amazing with my 2 rescue terriers! My dogs were only adopted 3 weeks ago and are both 1 year old and very energetic. They need training for jumping and walking on a leash, but are overall sweet dogs. Lena sent videos and photos of my dogs having fun and playing, which put me at ease being a first time Rover user and having new dogs. The real test was how my dogs were when I picked them up - they were so happy and fell asleep on the ride home. They even warmed up to Lena’s sweet dog, Mila, which helped so much with socialization. Happy, safe, and tired is exactly what I hoped for! I’ll definitely use Lena again.

Safety, trust & environment
My dog, Mila, is a super-energetic and friendly Terrier mix. She’s gotten along with every dog (and cat) she’s been acquainted with, but can stay in the second bedroom and be kept separate from your pet if need be! My living community has a fenced-in dog park which is great for fetching and getting the zoomies out.. We also enjoy taking walks at least twice a day in the neighboring residential area.

It's difficult for pets to be displaced from their usual environment and routines. Please let me know any special needs or quirks your pet may have. I'm more than happy to accommodate them!
A typical day
In a typical day, everybody gets some morning cuddles and gets let out to go potty first thing in the morning. We offer the dogs breakfast or some treats and then do a little walk around the neighborhood to let them stretch their legs and do their business. The afternoon is when we do our main exercise: going for a run, a trip to the dog park, or to the golf course that opens in the winter season allowing us to let the dogs run off leash in a big, open space far from the road (only if they do not chase other animals or people and you are comfortable with your dog being unleashed). After that, the dogs are pretty spent and spend the late afternoon snoozing on the sofa. If evening comes and they still have some energy left, I take them for an evening walk or we play fetch/tug inside. After dinner, we usually find ourselves back on the sofa for cuddles and a movie. The last thing we do before bed is take another potty break. In the event that both my partner and I need to leave the apartment, I will separate your pet(s) from my dog, putting them each in their own bedroom with access to water. This is to prevent any potential conflicts in the short time that they're left unsupervised.
