Pet care experience
Having grown up with rescue dogs, I have 20+ years of experience walking, training, grooming and cuddling dogs. Whilst at university and away from my dogs at home, I was a regular user of the app Borrow My Doggy. More recently, I dog sat four dogs (one young golden retriever and three chihuahuas) for a six week period via the app TrustedHouseSitters (reference available). I am a reliable and trustworthy individual who has extensive personal, voluntary and paid experience with dogs. I feel particularly comfortable around rescue dogs (staffies and bullies are my fave!!), or dogs who need extra love and patience.
Reviews
Finding dogsitters has always been a struggle for me. I often find it emotionally challenging to let people, most of the time strangers, look after my 7 year old blue staffie (Benji). However, since I found Lena, I have never come across a more caring, kind spirited and generous animal lover. Whilst I have left Benji with Lena, I have received regular updates and pictures on the adventures they share together, really putting my mind at ease whilst I am away. Having found Lena a few years ago, I will always go to her, even checking what dates suit her before booking my next holiday! Although Benji will be disappointed to share Lena, I can't recommend her enough. Thank you Lena from both Benji and I.
We’ve been going to Lena for about 3 years now to look after Daisy - she’s a 3 year old goldendoodle and full of energy. Lena’s always been so reliable and flexible with our holidays. Lena is was so fantastic with my Labrador, Bella. They got on well together from the get-go. She sent me regular updates while I was away which put me at ease. It’s lovely to know that Bella has found a second home. Could not recommend her enough!
Lena grew up with a numerous rescue cats & dogs (Staffies), who all had their own story ‘to tell’. Her care for them was driven by her empathy and innate intuition towards their individual needs. When at university, Lena frequently cared for our pets when I was volunteering at festivals. On numerous occasions she also looked after friends’ pets and the pets in the neighbourhood. Lena is a great communicator, extremely trustworthy, flexible, honest and full of warmth. Your pet/s will be in the best / safest hands possible as she will go out of her way to ensure your pet’s safety and happiness!

Let me know if your dog has any particular / special needs or requirements and I’ll try my best to accommodate them. I am experienced with nervous dogs who haven’t had the best start in life. I am also experienced with high energy dogs who need extra stimulation and activity. I’m keen to discuss what is best for your dog, and to work together in order for the experience to be as best as it can be for all involved!
A typical day
My happy place is the beach, and would love to include your dog in walks there. I have a cosy home where your dog will be able to rest and relax (no furniture is off limits!). They’ll receive all the cuddles and play time that they want, whilst also having time and space to themselves.

Availability
I currently work fully remotely from home, so am extremely flexible in my day to day routine. As I spend the majority of my day sitting at my laptop, I love to take long walks along the seafront, to the Warren or up onto the cliffs whenever I can. I often have the company of my mums senior rescue staffie, but she can be walked/kept separately depending on yours and your dogs wants and needs.
