Experienced Sitter & Dog Trainer
Pet care experience
I’ve grown up with dogs and cats, plus I’ve volunteered and worked professionally with animals for approximately 10 years, so I have a wide range of experience when it comes to different temperaments and breeds. I’ve worked as a kennel technician at multiple facilities as well as a dog training intern at a training and breeding facility, where the priority is relationship-based training meant to foster a positive relationship between owner/handler and dog. If you need help training your puppy (or adult dog), just let me know!
Reviews
Thank you!!! Was so easy to work with.
We are grateful to have had Lena care for our 2 kitties. They each needed separate food and one needed meds in her water daily. Lena took good care of them and sent wonderful photos of them each day. We would definitely ask Lena to come again.
Lena is very patient and knowledgeable! I highly recommend her
Lena was so flexible & patient with my anxiety about leaving Birdie. I could not have been happier. I definitely recommend her. She took the time to come to my house before she took the assignment to meet Birdie & become familiar with our routine.

Safety, trust & environment
When I care for or train someone else’s pet, I always treat them as if they were my own fur baby. I do offer free meet and greets, approximately 30 minutes long, as I prefer meeting owners and their pets prior to any drop-ins or walks for the comfort of everyone involved. I am knowledgeable about dog and cat body language, so I can and will adapt to the pets needs based on what their behavior is telling me in an effort to ensure their comfort and happiness. I always write a detailed update for you at the very end of each session/day, including multiple photos.
Information Lena D. would like to know about your pet
Most importantly I want to know about any special needs; this includes medication, specific diet, etc. I’lI want to know how a dog acts around other dogs and people, as well as how they are on a leash. (Do they pull on leash? Do they lunge, excitedly or otherwise, at other dogs or people? How is their prey drive [i.e. their response to squirrels, birds, etc.?]) Having an idea about their leash behavior will help me be better prepared for our walk. If I’ll be giving medication(s), I’d like to know if they are tolerant of administration or fight it — again, to better be prepared — and how they’re used to receiving their medication to make it as stress-free of an experience as possible. Also, don’t forget to let me know some of your pets’ favorite things to do!
A typical day
Whether your pet(s) prefer playing or just want to snuggle (or be left mostly alone!), they’ll get what they want. I’m open to suggestions on walk locations especially if your pup has a preferred walk area, but I prefer staying off of main roads when possible for safety.

I work as a pet sitter and dog trainer full time. When I’m not working/spending time with clients’ pets, I’m spending my time with my own two dogs and two cats. I also keep several plants, and have kept Betta fish in the past, so should you need help with any fish or plants while you’re away I’m happy to discuss that as well.
