Pet care experience
I was born into a pet loving house! Growing up in Florida, I’ve had five dogs (not all at once!), three cats, four fish, two lizards, and one possum! I kept one of my goldfish alive for five years! I’m definitely an animal enthusiast. I started pet sitting at a young age for family members and friends. I’ve taken up pet sitting again as an adult for friends, coworkers, and neighbors. You’ll notice Artichoke (brown terrier/chihuahua mix), my coworker’s pup, and Aura (yellow lab) are my most frequent visitors from my pictures. Now, I’m deciding to expand my pool! I’ve pet sat cats and dogs of all breeds mainly in my home over night. The longest sit I’ve done was in my own home with the lovely black lab, Beanie (a friend’s doggie), for a month and a half. I love dogs so much, but like to travel, so pet sitting gives me the best of both worlds (I have two cats currently)! My spacious pet-friendly apartment, walkable neighborhood with a park near by, and mostly work-from-home schedule, makes my home a pet paradise! I have two roommates who love animals and co-pet parent my cats with me. Please feel free to ask me any questions you might have!

Lena is without a doubt the best, simple as that! Very attentive and open communication; sent multiple updates, pictures, and videos daily. My wife and I weren’t worried for a second, and Marvin has never smiled that big with another human!

Lena is by far the best cat sitter I have ever had! I have a 17-year-old cat with many health issues who needs medications 2x a day and lots of attention. Lena was able to stay at my house during my 5 day trip and not only attend to my cat's health needs but also bonded with her easily, gave her tons of love and attention, and stayed in touch with me through text at least twice a day. I was so relieved to have found someone I could trust to be both sensitive to kitty "moods", and responsible with all the food and medication instructions. I will definitely ask her to cat sit for me again if I need to leave town.
Lena is amazing! They kept my dog, Bernie, active all day and sent me the cutest pictures and updates. Bernie and I both love them!

My apartment has a courtyard; however, I walk doggos around the area to sniff the sniffs and do their business. Sometimes, especially if they’re an energized pup, I’ll take em over to the rec center field nearby which is a great little park! I feed visiting animals near the kitchen across the room from where I feed my cats to avoid any food disputes. Sometimes, if I’m caring for a dog, I’ll elevate my cats’ eating area so that it’s not reachable for the dog(s). Both of my cats are very agreeable and don’t mind any cat or dog company (Ciabatta sometimes loves it; Korey keeps to herself). Pups and kitties are usually welcome on our furniture, but we’re happy to keep up with your at home rules if you don’t allow that! If it’s okay with the pet and the owner, sometimes I do a little paw wipe with a baby wipe after a walk if it’s muddy or dirty out. Cats are allowed everywhere except tables and counters. FYI —we do have (carpeted) stairs in our apartment unit. For pet sitting at someone else’s home, I would, of course, follow any and all instructions provided! Since my cats have other caretakers as well, I don’t need to always worry about getting home at a certain time to care for them if I need to provide overnight care to another pet.

Let me know if your pet has any special needs or takes any meds! My favorite method for pills is with treats or pill pockets, but let me know if you/your pet has a preferred method. Please include any anxieties, fears, bad habits (ex: trash loving lol), allergies, or reactivity your pet may have. This helps me know what to avoid and how to make a space that’s welcoming and safe for your lovely animal. Additionally, I have experience caring for animals with disabilities so please don’t hesitate to ask about what accommodations I can provide, if needed.
A typical day
Please feel free to leave me with your pet’s favorite toys! Let me know if they’re a fan of tag, fetch, tug, etc. If your pup is agile and likes fetch, lots of dogs seem to love playing fetch up and down my stairs! I also love to take dogs on long walks, hikes, or to the beach if I can and with their human’s permission! If they like parks, I take em down to the nearest spot, and if they like to play with other pups, I can get them a play date with my next door neighbors’ sweet doggies (who i also sit for).

Availability
I work mostly from home. I usually go into the office during the day every other week on Friday’s with some rare exceptions. Right now, my job is in an off season, so my Fridays have opened up! I usually walk dogs in the morning before work starts, around lunch, and in the evening (sometimes twice in the evening —before and after dinner if they need it). I also stay tuned in with the dog’s needs and noises to see if they need to go outside in between these times.
