WFH - One pet at a time!
Pet care experience
After losing our 13 year old dog, Nahla, we are missing the companionship of a pet in our home. We are not ready to adopt again just yet, so we have been pet-sitting and it has been a wonderful experience! Since we don’t have any other pets or small children at home, your pet gets all the love and attention! My husband and I both work from home, so we are always available to keep a close eye on your fur baby or to take them on walks. We also have a 16 year old son who loves animals and a 21 year old daughter who is away at college but comes home when she can - she works at an emergency vet in her college town and is heading to vet school next! We are truly an animal-loving family! We accept only one pet at a time (or multiple if from the same family), so if your pet doesn’t always get along with other pets, they can relax here and enjoy all the attention to themselves! We have a pool, so pets that are not interested in swimming are the best fit for us, so they can enjoy being off-leash in our large, fenced back yard. We have a doggy door so they can come and go from the house to the fenced back yard as they please, but the doggy door can be locked if necessary. Our home is perfect for senior pets, pets with mobility issues, pets who have had recent surgeries, etc., because there is only one small step up to the front door and the master bedroom is on the main level, so your pet won’t need to traverse any stairs to go in and out to/from the back yard or to sleep by our bed at night. We can allow your pet on the furniture if that is your preference, or keep them off the furniture if that’s not a habit you want to encourage. We prefer to do a meet-and-greet at our home before the first booking to be sure we are a good fit for your pet and that they will be comfortable here.

This was my first time using this app and did not know what to expect and I was pleasantly surprised how comfortable King was with Leisha. I am definitely booking more days, King loved being with Leisha and her family. She made this experience amazing!!
Leisha and her husband are so thoughtful and accommodating in a wonderful home. It was like our dog was on vacation too, being spoiled with personalized attention, outdoor access, walks, and regular updates for his fur parents. Great communication and flexibility on drop-off and pickup times. We will definitely book again as our preferred in-home boarder.
Leisha was a great sitter! My pup was comfortable the whole week and was made to feel right at home.

We have a nice, big fenced back yard with plenty of room to run and play. We have cameras inside and outside for safety. We have several large dog beds so they can have a comfortable place to lounge in multiple rooms, or of course feel free to bring your pet’s favorite bed or crate. We can send as many photos/updates as you’d like while your pet is enjoying their stay with us!

Let us know if your pet has any special needs, likes/dislikes, etc. We have lots of experience with senior dogs, giving medications, dogs that aren’t always friendly with other dogs, etc. We prefer a meet-and-greet at our house before your first booking in order to make sure we are a good fit for your pet and that he or she will be comfortable here. Giant breeds (over 100 lbs.) are considered on a case by case basis.
A typical day
Your pet will have constant supervision and companionship with us. We live in a low-traffic, family-friendly neighborhood with sidewalks, perfect for safe walks. We also have easy access to the greenway right across the street for nice, shady walks or runs, which is nice for hot summer days.

Since my husband and I both work from home, both of us are here most of the time, occasionally only one of us is home, and we usually wouldn’t both be gone for more than 2 hours, but we are flexible and can always arrange our schedules to fit your pet’s needs. We own our own business, so our schedules are flexible enough that we can accommodate multiple walks per day if requested. My husband, Kevin, is a runner, so if your pet enjoys a good workout, he’d be happy to have a running buddy!
