Pet care experience
As a college student, being around dogs has always been a way for me to destress. I have grown up with dogs my entire life and currently own a German Shepherd and a Chocolate Lab and could talk about them forever. I also have worked at local shelters walking dogs when my schedule permits. If given the opportunity to watch your dog I will maintain steady and constant communication with owners, frequently send photos, and ensure that we go on the best of walks/play dates, and make sure to love on your dogs as if they are my own! I joined Rover because I am a firm believer in doing what you love and cannot think of a job I would work harder at than something I am so passionate about. Very flexible person willing to accommodate owners requests and schedules.

Leila seems nice and was communicative when arranging the stay. However, her roommate did not seem to be okay with dogs staying in the apartment. If your dog is at all energetic, I highly suggest that you bring him/her over to meet Leila and her roommates in advance. This is what I should have done to avoid being turned away at drop-off.
Leila was great! We contacted her super last minute and
It was a last minute, I could not get a hold of anyone to check on Lucky, and did not think anyone would step up, drop what they were doing, and, within hours, go check on our pup. I was ecstatic to hear from Leila. She showed up on time, and when I came home, she was still playing and laughing with a very happy Lucky. Leila also cleaned the water bowl and gave Lucky fresh water.
Leila loves dogs more than anyone I have ever met. She has two dogs at home that she takes care of and she loves giving them love and walking them. She is also super reliable, as well as responsible. She is also very active, and loves walking. I can’t think of anyone else that would be better at taking care of animals than Leila!

Knowing if a dogs is a) friendly with other people and b) friendly with other dogs is a prerequisite to me accepting any position. In addition to my personal safety, it is always important to know if a dog is friendly with others dogs and if they could perhaps have playdates with my own dogs. If they are friendly and my clients are okay with having their dogs play with other dogs, I also like to make sure that they are caught up on all their relevant vaccinations.
A typical day
Throughout the week, I love taking my own dogs on a run with me and, when time permits, hoping in the car with them and taking them to Happy Tails Dog park in Moore to play with their buddies. On occasion, we stop by PetSmart and pick up some tasty treats or a new toy :)

Availability
I'm currently a student, studying from home. My own dogs couldn't be happier with the arrangement because that means we play 24/7 with walks almost every other hour. Pets do not "fit" into my daily routine because they are apart of it.
