10+ years experience, fenced yard!

Pet care experience

Hi! I am an Adoption Coordinator / Case Manager for a local dog rescue and have over 10 years of experience caring for and training a wide variety of dog breeds and temperaments. I work part-time, so I have a very flexible schedule to be home with your pups for the majority of most days, and can usually come home on my lunch on the days I do work. A typical day for your dog in my home would include walks, training time and mental stimulation if requested, play & cuddle time, supervised time in my large, fully fenced yard, and anything else you may request for your pups' routine. I am competent with basic to advanced obedience training (sit, down, stay, heel, come, place, fetch, shake, rollover, basic agility, etc), as well as addressing moderate behavioral and confidence issues (including leash reactivity and resource guarding). I have several personal pet-sitting/training references by request. I also have previously worked as a veterinary assistant and am very attentive and savvy when it comes to any illness or injury that may arise. I love all dogs and will treat your pup like he or she is my own. Please feel free to message me if you have any additional questions!

Leila was amazing! She kept us updated often with pictures and videos which reassured us while we were gone for the weekend. It helps so much that she really understood my pup and his adolescent behaviors!!

Leila was wonderful for our Ernie! She is very knowledgeable with the pups and kept Ernie happy and safe while we were out of town. She has a great big backyard and sent several photos while we were away. I never once worried about him. I would definitely recommend Leila to anyone in need of a sitter! Thank you!!!

We boarded our pit/lab mix with Leila for 10 days. Our guy is a spoiled, mama's boy with anxiety issues and a gimpy knee. But he is sweet and gentle and Leila was a great fit for him. She was professional in her care and made his safety and well being her first objective. Leila is a very dedicated and responsible pet sitter, and one I would entrust my dog to again.

Leila was great with Koda And great with communicating With me on a daily basis. Her pictures were fun And also showed what a great time Koda was having. For some reason Koda wasn’t eating her food so Leila was really innovative and getting her to eat. Overall just a five-star experience for me and Koda. Thank you

Information Leila A. would like to know about your pet

I prefer to board dogs who are crate trained. For the safety of your dog, I do try to limit the amount of freedom given when unsupervised. Even if your dog does great with free roam at your house during the day, being in a new environment can cause some dogs to have unexpected anxiety. So, I would ideally like to be able to crate your dog for their own security when I am not able to be home for short periods during the day.

A typical day

I have a few lovely parks around my neighborhood, along with many wide, quiet streets for daily walks. I am happy to work with you on any training goals you may have for your pup. I am happy to incorporate any additional activities you have in mind to keep your dog happy and comfortable.
