Pet care experience
I’ve recently set up my dog walking business. I believe dog walking is not just a chore, it's an adventure! Whether you have a playful pup or a senior canine, regular walks offer numerous benefits. Providing exercise, mental stimulation, and an opportunity to socialize, dog walking is a vital part of their overall well-being. I’m available for drop in’s to check on your dog throughout the day or a nice long dog walk. Whatever your dog needs are.

Leigh has been amazing with my boys! They had lots of cuddles, treats and good food while I was away. I came back home to find 2 very happy and very well looked after boys. I will be booking her again soon!

Leigh was wonderful with my beagle. She sent me updates and let me know how the walk went immediately. I needed to change the time of one of my bookings and she was so accommodating! Will definitely use Leigh again

As a dog walker or sitter I can offer.. In a pet owner's home (as a pet sitter or caregiver): 1. Familiarise myself with the pet's routine: Ask you for specific instructions regarding feeding, walk/play times, medications, and any other necessary care. 2. Create a safe and comfortable environment: Ensure the home is pet-proofed, with secure gates, locked doors, and potential hazards removed or stored safely away. 3. Respect the pet's boundaries: Allow the pet to approach and interact with you at their own pace. Offer treats, provide gentle and positive reinforcement, and avoid forcing any interactions. 4. Maintain the pet's regular schedule: Stick to the pet's established routine for feeding, walking, and playtime to minimize stress and maintain their well-being. 5. Monitor the pet's behavior and health: Pay attention to any changes in the pet's behavior, appetite, or physical appearance. If you notice anything unusual or concerning, inform the pet owner and, if necessary, seek veterinary care. 6. Stay in communication with the pet owner: Keep the pet owner updated on how their pet is doing, share any concerns or questions, and follow any specific instructions they have provided. Every dog is unique, so it's important to adapt my care approach to each individual dogs needs and preferences. Communication with the pet owner and a genuine love for animals are key in my approach to dog walking and sitting. I have an enhanced DBS which I can show if need be.

A typical day
I love to stimulate your dogs with many games, smells and walks. Just let me know what they love and we can go from there. I love to walk in the woods, parks, along the sea front/beaches and just around the block if that’s all your dog needs.

I have set up Wagg and Purr as my main business, available 7 days a week. Am Fully insured. I’m currently undertaking pet first aid and a dog walking diploma.
