Pet care experience
Friends and family have relied on me to feed and care for pets for years. I have always had dogs (from 11-lb Bichons to 70-lb labs) and indoor cats in my home.

I have hired Leigh on two different occasions to pet sit for my dog, Kai, while I have been out-of-town. I have been very pleased with her services each. Kai is a large breed dog that requires lots of attention and exercise. I would not hesitate to hire Leigh again as she is great with our dog.
Leigh has watched our miniature schnauzer on numerous occasions. She takes wonderful care of her, and we know that we don't have to worry about anything when we are gone. Our Millie is very shy around new people, and she has come to love Leigh as much as we do. Leigh always stays in touch with us, and sends us photos while we are away. I would highly recommend her!

I am looking for jobs where I stay in your home with your pets. I am a middle-aged mom with a child in college, and now seemed like a great time to try something new. I work remotely full-time as a writer and editor for a media company, and will be working from your home while you were away, so your pets will not be left alone for long periods of time! I do not smoke, and I am fully vaccinated against COVID-19. I would love to feed, walk, play with, provide any medication or other special care your pals need, and ensure you come home to a clean house and happy pets!

I have owned senior dogs and cats, and dogs that required medication including injections. I had a beloved dog with a seizure disorder. The more information you can provide me about the “big stuff” like special needs and health issues, the better. But to me it’s also important to know the “small stuff” that will put your pet at ease while you are away - is there a particular time of day they are accustomed to receiving more attention? Is there a particular place they like to be scratched or petted? What are the quirks in their routine with you that they will miss?
A typical day
My priority will be to keep your pets on the routine they are accustomed to, because that is what will make them the most comfortable while you are away! I will play, cuddle and walk as they desire and as you desire me to.

Availability
I work full-time remotely and can work from anywhere. I work during general business hours on weekdays, but my schedule is flexible and there is plenty of time for me to take your pets out, feed, care for them, and walk them during the times they are accustomed to.
