Pet care experience
I have raised 3 separate puppies from rescue, and my first dog in her old age was given the greatest respect for her needs, from special meals to being hand carried up and down the stairs to get outside. I have never had a moment in my life where I did not have at least one dog living in my house. I have also fostered stray cats, including domesticating one pregnant feral cat and adopting out her kittens. The most important aspect of pet ownership is ensuring they have proper play, nutrition, and attention. I currently own two cattle-dog mixes who are deftly smart and require constant physical and mental stimulation. I have also owned a rat (very smart and affectionate), lived with a tarantula whom I was the sole individual that would handle her, I love and have handled snakes, geckos, birds, horses (riding and care). My first job was on a farm caring for kenneled breeding dogs when I was 13 years old.

Leif was fantastic. He was a great communicator and dealt with contractors who were replacing our roof. I highly recommend him. We will definitely use him again. Highly recommend.
Leif is a natural with pets. He did great with my dog who has some separation anxiety (and was very kind and understanding when I expressed my own anxiety about leaving my dog). He is great about responding to communications and is very responsible. I highly recommend Leif!
If there were a 6 star option we would choose it to review Leif. He is so obviously a true dog person. He provided excellent enthusiastic care for our dog and our home. He reassure us with colorful commentary about the goings on in our absence. We always miss our dog when we are away, however, in Leif’s care he hardly knew we were gone! We may get a note from our dog tomorrow asking when Leif is coming over. Leif was kind, capable, trustworthy, and we would ask him back in a heartbeat.
Leif was awesome and treated our dog really well. Good communication and respectful. He seems really dog savvy and a big dog lover.

All pets deserve to have their specific needs met whether they are a puppy, an older good dog, a good dog with a disability, a picky or affectionate cat; In my home, the dogs require mental and physical stimulation e.g. walks, dog park time for socializing, special puzzle toys, snuggles, quality food, clean water, and plenty of positive reinforcement. Cats get their on demand affection, clean litter boxes, toys, food, and water.

A typical day
Depending on the specific needs of the dog and expectations of the owner, I can walk, do dog park excursions, hang out in the yard, hang out on a couch. For my service area I love using the Minnehaha dog park.

I am currently working gig jobs to better control my schedule, so peak times for jobs like doordash (lunch/dinner hours) are more restricted. My wife works from home and is able to look after our dogs, which gives me more flexibility to look after yours!
