Dog TLC with Lee
Pet care experience
I've always been an animal person, so much so that when I moved to Washington DC to work on Capitol Hill after college and didn't have an animal I was able to see regularly anymore, I took up pet sitting part-time for a licensed and bonded company in Alexandria, Virginia. I've taken care of blind and incontinent elderly dogs, dogs requiring anti-anxiety medication in pill pockets, German Shepherds obsessed with squirrels (and would take off after them if not kept in check), dogs needing to be kept away from other dogs during walks because they'd attack if able to get too close, and everything in between. I would also regularly watch a roommate's Rhodesian Ridgeback and Rat Terrier when she was out of town (walking them together always elicited funny comments from strangers). Now that I'm back in San Diego I still pet sit now and then, but I would like to expand my network. I have a flexible full-time job that pays the bills, so I do pet sitting purely for the enjoyment of getting out and about and spending time with cute dogs. The extra income it adds to my travel fund is a great plus as well. I'm fit and active, so if your dog likes to go at a jogging pace during walks I can meet that need as well. As I said, my job is flexible (and in Mid-City San Diego) so I'd be able to go back to your house at lunch time Monday-Friday to spend time with your animal. I am also able to telecommute, so if you have a dog who becomes especially anxious when missing human companionship, as long as I have an Internet connection I can be at the house more often in that case during the work week.

You should hire Lee! Lee is extremely responsible and caring. She is also punctual, friendly, and thoughtful. She has taken great care of our babies. Thanks, Lee!
I have had the privilege of knowing Lee for nearly a decade. She is easily one of the most responsible and trustworthy people I know. Lee was initially my roommate and live-in pet sitter over the course of two years when my job with the Department of Justice required me to travel at least twice a month and sometimes for a weeks at a time. Before I met Lee, I was constantly between pet sitters (as it was hard to find one that I trusted) and I spent a lot of time during my travels worrying over whether or not the newest pet sitter I had found was taking proper care of my dogs (and house!). However, I never once worried about my two dogs - who are definitely my precious furry children - when they were left in Lee's care. She kept me informed as to what was going on while I was away, and I always came back to well-fed, well-exercised and happy pups!

Information Lee S. would like to know about your pet
No breed preference, but if the dog has any aggression or anxiety issues (separation or social) it would be good to know that in advance in order to mitigate any distress for the animal and also avoid situations that could result in an incident.
A typical day
If the owner is comfortable with it and the dog has been before, I can take them to dog beach in Coronado. Basically though I would stick to familiar routes and routines for the animal.
